Well, This photo is here because of the lushness in the waves as they gush towards the shore.. The birds add liveliness to the scene. Yet, the whole B&W look has more impact... with the whiteness in the waves.. :-)

i think the color would have had more impact. the whiteness of the waves, try to mingle with the sky, losing the color difference. guess, if the waves would stand out in a darker shade of gray, then the shot might have been more interesting.

Yeah, it would've looked good in color if the sky color wud have made an impact.. but the morning colors were in such a way that B/W is better than colors.. :-)
